Japanese tuner WedsSport has been racing a specially tuned Lexus IS350 in the Japanese Super GT since early in the current season, but now the tuning shop has turned its attention to the growing world of drifting. Sticking with the Lexus IS model, WedsSport has created a special drifter complete with a custom engine and steering system that will compete in the upcoming D1GP championship.
Powered by a 2JZ-GTE engine often found in the Toyota Supra, power output was around 310hp in stock form. WedsSport has managed to tune the engine to 780hp thanks to an HKS T04Z turbocharger and extensive ECU tuning.
Since this is a drift car completing in the D1GP, the suspension has been upgraded as well as a clutch and transmission, will help the car transfer the power to the road and hopefully pull off some spectacular drifts. In addition to producing 780hp, the WedsSport Lexus IS350 drift car also features a custom widebody kit, WedSport wheels and the usual manufacturer livery found on most drift cars.
