Chrysler LLC revealed three all-electric prototype vehicles at its world headquarters in Auburn Hills, the Dodge EV, Jeep EV and Chrysler EV, promising to have one of them available in the North American markets as soon as 2010 followed shortly after by Europe. Speaking at the presentation, Chrysler LLC’s CEO Bob Nardelli had this to say:

“The introduction of the Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge electric vehicles provide a glimpse of the very near future, and demonstrates that we are serious and well along in the development of bringing EVs to market.”

While the Lotus Evora has already been revealed in full production trim at the London Motor Show, engineers are still fine-tuning the car ahead of its expected sales launch early next year.

Lotus claimed the Evora would weigh in at 1,350kg and be capable of accelerating from 0-100km/h in less than five seconds. However after reading the fine print, all the stats came with the disclaimer that the car’s final specifications were still being worked on and that anything could change by the time the new model hits production.

New prototypes of the Evora have been spotted at Germany’s Nurburgring, and this time the test cars are completely undisguised. There’s another reason why Lotus is still testing Evora prototypes at the benchmark circuit. The Norfolk-based carmaker is also planning to launch several new variants of the car including a convertible and a high-performance supercharged edition. …click here to read more

Things are progressing nicely with the development on the replacement Pagani Zonda, known internally as the C9, and the test mule is now over in the US as part of its ongoing durability trials. Don’t be fooled by similar stylign cues with other Zondas in these photos though, as this is just the running prototype that uses modified Zonda bodywork to hide the newly developed equipment.

Mercedes will be supplying the engine for the new car, Pagani has been utilising some of Mercedes worldwide test facilities (including those in the US) as the C9 is the first Pagani designed to be a world car. …click here to read more
