ford-mustang-fr500cj-torque

Ford Racing has been testing the 2010 model of the Cobra Jet Mustang, and as it appears in the video just released, things are looking ‘Up’ to say the least. While preforming a test run in a development model with the new 2010 powertrain, the FR500CJ managed to pull off the line with a tall wheelie showcasing the massive torque and traction.

The ability to launch the front wheels into the air is achieved with the help of a new aluminum-block motor that weights considerably less than its iron counterpart. This leaves us scratching our heads thinking if we will get to see this motor under the hood of the 2011 Shelby GT500. Enjoy the video below. Short but sweet! …click here to read more

45th-anniversary-edition-ford-mustang

Rewind forty-five years when he introduced the original Ford Mustang at the 1964 New York World’s Fair, auto icon Lee Iacocca has announced a new version of the infamous muscle car – the Iacocca Silver 45th Anniversary Edition Ford Mustang. Featuring a unique Mustang fastback look, only 45 of the “2009½” special edition cars will be built, each finished in a unique “Iacocca” chosen silver hue.

Two years in the making, the limited edition Mustang is a collaborative effort by Iacocca, designer Michael Leone, and coachbuilder Gaffoglio Family Metalcrafters. The project you see is in fact the first of a new customization program called I Legacy. A partnership with Galpin Ford located in California, the cars are being offered for public sale. …click here to read more

Ford has launched a 2010 Mustang countdown. While the new ‘Stang won’t hit the streets until next spring, 96 days separate us from its official unveiling at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Ford has also invited fans of the original Pony Car to recount related stories on its new website, the2010mustang.com. Starting August 27, the site will give visitors the opportunity to share their tales, with the most compelling story winning the writer his very own 2010 Mustang, along with a trip to LA to see the wraps come off.
