Episode six of the Corvette Racing Track to Street series is a recap of what went down at the 24 Hours of Le Mans last month. 2010 marked the 50th anniversary or the automakers first appearance at the French endurance race and a parade of 50 ‘Vettes took to the track prior to the race.
The first French appearance of the works Corvettes in the GT2 class started off well, with the cars starting first and second in class after the Risi Ferrari F430 time was disallowed due to a rear wing infraction.
The Corvettes ran strong for the first 16 hours before both eventually succumbed to engine failures. Team manager Doug Fehan promises the C6.Rs will return next year with a win. …click here to read more

AMS Performance had recently attended the TX2K10 Supra & GTR Nationals event held in Houston Texas. During the weekend AMS put the SR 850 equipped GT-R on the chassis dyno and managed to placed 1st with creating 764 All Wheel Horsepower.
Later in the weekend despite bad weather and a cold the track the GT-R flew down the quarter mile in 9.90 seconds at the speed of 146.9 MPH, with full interior! The pass broke the world record for the Quickest and Fastest Nissan GT-R putting it into the history books as the world’s first GT-R to break the 9 second barrier. Later in the day the AMS crew was able to best their previous pass of 9.90 with a 9.89 @ 145.98 MPH. …click here to read more

It hasn’t been that long ago that Ford was manufacturing a genuine supercar, one that made no excuses as it took on the world’s best. The Ford GT had one foot in the past with the other in the present, with its ’60s GT40 good looks and somewhat more modern 5.4-liter supercharged V8. Sadly only 4,000 or so GTs were built during its production run that ended in 2006. Still, the GT lives on as a great platform for tuning and competition racing. …click here to read more
