VIDEO: Burnout Fail!

Here we see some knuckle head trying to perform a burnout in their Dodge Neon while parked in his parents driveway. No smoky burnouts from the tires were produced but instead we see the flywheel being thrown out of the hood followed by copious amounts of smoke from the engine bay.

No high performance vehicles were harmed in the making of this film.

Dodge Viper Laguna Seca Record

Chris Winkler showed up at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in California to test the Viper SRT10 ACR. After a few trips around the track, Winkler posted a 1m 33.915s lap time that not only beats the Devon GTX Super cars times but also set the unofficial production car lap record for the famed circuit. …click here to read more

Chrysler LLC revealed three all-electric prototype vehicles at its world headquarters in Auburn Hills, the Dodge EV, Jeep EV and Chrysler EV, promising to have one of them available in the North American markets as soon as 2010 followed shortly after by Europe. Speaking at the presentation, Chrysler LLC’s CEO Bob Nardelli had this to say:

“The introduction of the Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge electric vehicles provide a glimpse of the very near future, and demonstrates that we are serious and well along in the development of bringing EVs to market.”

Chrysler President Jim Press insists that buyers have been lining up to buy the entire operation although sales are down. Among those potentially interested are American tuners Roush and Saleen. Whatever company ends up buying the Viper operation, Chrysler expects to make anywhere from $50 to a projected $150 million before it vacates its Conner Avenue plant by the end of 2011, and has hired financial firm Lazard Limited to handle the sale. …click here to read more
