More details for the One-77 are emerging, including several new teaser shots and a ‘Direct Customer Sales Contract’ with some of the expected specs of the car. Aston Martin is yet to confirm if the latest images and proposed specs are official.
Sources say that the One-77 will feature a 7.3L V12 engine with ‘more’ than 700hp (522kW) and 533lb-ft (750Nm) of torque. Some of the rumors floating around say the car would feature a 7.0L V12 engine.
The drivetrain is also said to feature dry-sump lubrication and a rear-mounted six-speed automated manual transmission. Construction is thought to be a carbon-fiber monocoque body structure with hand crafted aluminum panels, active aerodynamics, and a kerb weight around the 1,500kg mark. Expect to see 0-60mph runs of 3.5 seconds and a top speed over 200mph.
A spokesman for Aston Martin explained that an extensive customization program will ensure that no two models are the same. Buyers will be able to customize every single part of the car, from the gearbox to the interior trim elements. Even the seats will be tailored to fit the driver and passenger’s individual curves. The spokesman also confirmed that a concept version will be shown to a select group of customers by the end of the year, with the finished version ready by the end of next year. Sounds like some very exciting news for the brand.
