Aston Martin began building its test center at the famed Nurburgring earlier this year. Aston reports that the new building is fully operational and ready to be used for development and durability of Aston Martin prototypes or customer events.
The Aston Martin DBS, DB9 V8 Vantage and the upcoming Rapide and V12 Vantage have all benefited from the center while testing at the Nurburgring. Aston Martin also said today that it will be building a new display showroom and a VIP business lounge in the Nurburgring trackside slated for completion in mid 2009.
Aston Martin Chief Executive Officer Dr Ulrich Bez says:
“The Nürburgring has played an important part in the development of our cars in recent years and of course we have a fine racing pedigree here too. We are therefore extremely pleased to be able to demonstrate our bond with the Nürburgring even more clearly by extending our involvement.”
