Weds Sport Releases 6.1lb Carbon Fiber Wheel

Japanese wheel company Weds Sport has come up with a new wheel design made completely from Carbon Fiber. The wheels orignally debuted at Tokyo Auto Salon and it looks like US Wheel maker Dymag may have some stiff competition but they also use magnesium for the wheel centers for strength reasons.

Jaguar Recalling XF vehicles due to Safety Belt Issue

Jaguar just announced that it is recalling more than 7,900 MY2009 XF sedans in the United States for a defect in the rear safety belt assembly.

Representives from Jaguar says there have been no accidents or injuries reported due to the problem, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration noted that in the event of a crash, a seat occupant may not be properly restrained thus increasing the risk of personal injury.

Jaguar’s US dealers will inspect the rear safety belt assembly and make the necessary repairs. If you are a 2009 XF owner and have questions or concerns, please contact Jaguar at 1-800-452-4827.

GM To Be Profitable By 2010

Last year General Motors reported a staggering net loss of $38.7 billion, and followed it up with a $3.3 billion loss in the first quarter of this year and a $15.5 billion loss in the second. Despite the dire situation Bob Lutz and other senior executives are hopeful that the company can return to profitability by 2010.

General Motors say that much of the previous losses are due to special one-off transactions, and that the company is now undergoing massive restructuring. …click here to read more
